Welcome to our blog!

Here is the "Long" and the short of it... We registered our China dossier August 29,2006 (our LID). We requested twin girls, anticipating at least one baby girl, who would be our Molly Elisabeth. After almost 3 years of waiting, we found our son, Bao Long Nuo on the Rainbow Kids website, which is a website listing children having special needs, all over the world, who are seeking to be united with their forever families.

Bao Long Nuo, whose birthday is estimated to be December 2nd, 2007, will be our son, Cruzen Elijah Harrington in January, 2010. The Lord led us to our Cruzen and we are so very excited to be becoming parents, again, for the second time!!!

Please share in the rest of our Journey, as we travel to China to be united with our son!!!

Packing, packing, packing.  Spent today doing laundry, packing our clothes (which is very tricky) and finishing up the last details of Cruzen's nursery.  Wonder if I'll even sleep tonight!  Getting too excited to sleep...
The nursery is green and white, with blue and brown accent colors and brown monkeys.  Pretty cute, if I do say so myself!  Cannot wait to see Cruzen in that baby monitor, fast asleep in his bed!
Packing is crazy - the suitcase alone weighs 13 lbs and you can only have it weigh a total of 50 lbs for US, 44 for China flights!  We really cut back on our clothes, calculating on what we could get by with until our first visit/chance to visit the laundry service!  We also are "wearing" our winter coats, heaviest shoes/boots, etc onto the plane here in Orlando at 6:00am!  LOL  We should get a few giggles outta that and some stares!  Probably nothing compared to the number of stares we will get in China...seeing as Patrick is 6'5" tall and has facial hair!  Should be quite interesting.

Been very fortunate to have many friends who have BTDT to show us the ropes on International Travel...cannot wait for it to all play out.  At the same time though, we are trying to savor our last days with our first born son, Kaleb.  He is the light of our lives and we will have to be away from him for 17 ENTIRE days, in order to bring him his baby brother.  It'll be tough, but with Skype and our iPhones, we can still see him and hear him and visa versa.  He will be in good hands with his Grandma and Grandpa on his daddy's side, so no worries there.

Well, I'd better at least TRY to get some rest.  SO much to still do to prepare!  Night All.

We will soon be ‘United’

Today, we finalized our flight arrangements, and as fate would have it, we are using UNITED Airlines! How appropriate the airline we are using carries the name of what we have been waiting to do for SO long, unite with our Cruzen Elijah! We do have a glitch that we pray will work out, and that is we did NOT get three seats together for the flights home! Patrick being 6′5″, we used United’s Economy Plus, for the extra 5 inches of leg room it provides. Which really is NOT the reason we don’t have the three seats we need together. They simply did not have three seats together anywhere on the planes when we were finally able to select them.

My wonderful MIL (mother in law) graciously helped myself and Kaleb today, as we shopped for our trip! What a blessing. We got lots done today. For now, it is time to rest, as there is still so much to do before we can depart for China, via Chicago!
